Puranpoli is a food that you normally get at different festivals in India. It’s a traditional food in India. People can eat puranpoli for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But suppose you want to eat Puranpoli but it is not festival season. What will you do?
Previously you had no option but now you have. Bhaskar’s Puranpoli Ghar can fulfill your cravings. Puranpoli has many names. If you’re from Tamil Nadu, you may know Poli. If you’re from Kerala, it’s Boli. Holige in Karnataka and Bobbattlu in Andhra Pradesh. It doesn’t matter what the name is, as long it’s delicious.
Bhaskar KR, Vittal Shetty & Saurabh Choudhary founded Bhaskar’s Puranpoli Ghar. You can now order puranpoli all throughout the year. It’s a live & quick-service restaurant. They came to Shark Tank India seeking ₹75 Lakhs in exchange for 1% equity in the company.
They have 24 types of puranpoli. They make puranpoli without any kind of artificial ingredients. Bhaskar started the whole thing with just a cycle and now they have 4 outlets in Mumbai. They dream of opening 100 outlets in the future.
Bhaskar had a rough life. He tried many things in his life. From cleaning to dancing, he tried many things in his life. But he failed in most of them. He never lost hope. He kept on doing new things.
He founded Bhaskar’s Mane Holige. That’s a profitable business. His profit is ₹3~4 Crores per year from Bhaskar’s Mane Holige.
Sharks ate puranpoli and liked it very much.
Vittal Shetty & Saurabh Choudhary have more businesses besides this puranpoli. Vineeta Singh didn’t like this. She thought there might be conflict in the future because of this. At the same time, Vineeta thought they had enough money to expand the business themselves. They don’t need any outside investors.
Anupam Mittal couldn’t understand why they needed any shark’s help. He was out but wished Bhaskar well for the future.
Peyush Bansal thought they could open new outlets themselves. He was out.
Namita Thapar was out because she thought they could have some issues when they go all over India.
Aman Gupta was out because he thought Vittal Shetty & Saurabh Choudhary have too many businesses, and there will be less focus on Bhaskar’s Puranpoli Ghar.
Bhaskar is really amazing; I really like his personality. Even though he couldn’t secure any deal in the episode, I hope he makes it big one day.
